FALLS CHURCH, Va.  –  For many families, staying healthy is a big priority. If you’ll be eligible for TRICARE For Life (TFL) soon, you might be wondering how this affects your family’s health care coverage.“Your TFL eligibility is based in part on your eligibility for Medicare,” said Anne Breslin, TRICARE For Life program manager at the Defense Health Agency. “When you become eligible for Medicare, your family members who aren’t yet eligible for Medicare may stay in their current TRICARE plans.”

PACT ACT - TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT YOU HAVE EARED!

The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

The PACT Act adds to the list of health conditions that we assume (or “presume”) are caused by exposure to these substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.

Since 2014, VA’s Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry has been an important tool for recent Veterans and service members to record their airborne hazard exposures and related health conditions, with an optional examination with a health care provider to learn more.
