The Association Champions Marine Forces Reserve at Modern Day Marine 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C.

From April 28–30, 2026, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center played host to the premier military exposition, Modern Day Marine. Among the innovators and military leaders shaping the future of the Corps, The Association established a commanding presence, utilizing the high-profile venue to expand its reach, connect with the community, and advocate for critical legislative priorities.

The three-day expo drew a massive crowd of over 10,000 attendees. The Association's booth served as a bustling hub of activity, welcoming a couple hundred visitors eager to learn more about the organization's mission, initiatives, and impact.

"Modern Day Marine is one of the highlights of the year," said Ken Hopper, National President of The Association. "It provides The Association an opportunity to connect and reconnect. Getting to share our mission with a new group of people is exciting."

Leadership on the Ground

The Association’s impact at the event was driven by strong representation from its Board of Directors. Key leaders in attendance included:

  • Ken Hopper, National President

  • Frank Corte, Treasurer

  • Dean Castaldo, Development Director

  • Bryant Lewis, Board of Directors

  • Jeremy Williams, Legislative Director

These leaders engaged directly with attendees, industry partners, and active-duty service members, reinforcing The Association’s commitment to supporting those who serve.

Driving a Critical Legislative Mission

Beyond standard outreach, The Association utilized Modern Day Marine to advance a vital advocacy objective. Led by Legislative Director Jeremy Williams, the team focused heavily on generating robust legislative support to increase the warfighting capability of the Marine Forces Reserve.

The expo provided the perfect backdrop to put these strategic priorities directly in front of key decision-makers.

"It was exciting to introduce our 2026 Legislative Agenda to a distinguished group of individuals and offices within the U.S. Government to have a positive impact on the support Marine Forces Reserve receives in all budget considerations," noted Williams.

By aligning organizational outreach with crucial legislative advocacy, The Association ensured that the needs of the Marine Forces Reserve remain a top priority in Washington's budget discussions moving forward.
