SgtMaj Donnie Boyer USMCR(Ret)

Sergeant Major Boyer enlisted in the Marine Corps in June 1968. After MCRD Paris Island boot camp, he reported to Camp Geiger Infantry Training Regiment and assigned a 0331 MOS. Following ITR he was assigned to Echo Co. 2/8 and later deployed to Gitmo with Fox Co, 2/8. Upon returning to CLNC he rejoined Echo Co. 2/8.In June 1970 then Sgt. Boyer was released from Active Duty to attend college and was honorably discharged in June 1974.

Sgt Boyer re-enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in July 1985and served at Quantico and CLNC. In 1989 he joined MTU PA-2 and trained Seabees and ROTC students. He later joined 10th Bulk Fuel Co. as training Chief until his promotion to GySgt whereupon he wsas reassigned as Company Gunny. Promoted to 1stSgt in 1998, he transferred to Lima Co.3/24 until 2002 when he was reassigned to Weapons Co. 1/25. In January 2003 he was activated and deployed to Okinawa in support of OEF. In February 2004 he deployed to Iraq in support of OIF and rotated back to CONUS in October 2004 and transferred to the IRR. SgtMaj Boyer was promoted to his present rank in 2007 and transferred to 6th MT Bn, retiring in August 2009.

Col Kevin Hart USMCR(Ret)

Kevin was commissioned in 1975 upon graduation fromthe United States Naval Academy. Highlights of his Active Duty assignments include command of both Kilo Battery, 1/12 and Mike Battery, 3/12. His 22 years in the Reserve include command of Bravo Battery, 1/14, Officer-in-Charge, Mobilization, Syracuse, New York, and command of 1st Battalion, 14th Marines. Following a tour on the Joint Staff of 14th Marines, he served two tours at the Pentagon, first on the Joint Staff followed by a tour in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Kevin holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and is currently the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for WNA, a $300 million company based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Col Dave Leighton USMCR(Ret)

Following graduation from the University of Nebraska in 1957 and the Basic School in 1958, Dave attended flight school, requesting helicopters upon graduation was assigned to MCAF Santa Ana, CA. Deploying to WESTPAC in 1961, he was a pilot with the first combat unit deployed to the Republic of Vietnam. He returned to RVN in 1966 for a second tour. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with silver star, 13 Air Medals and the RVN Cross of Gallantry. Accepting a Reserve commission in 1968, Dave was hired by United Airlines where he served for 23 years, flying B737, B727 and B747 aircraft and instructing in the latter. He served as the ALO for the 15th Staff in Chicago; as Commanding officer of a CH-46/UH-1N squadron in New Orleans; on the 4th MAW staff as G-1, G-4 and Deputy Chief of Staff. In 1985 he was assigned to the Pentagon on the SECDEF staff as Head, Joint Reserve Staff in the office of the ASD(RA). He attended the Naval War College in 1974 and again in 1984. He joined MCROA in 1974 and served in the capacity of vice president and then in 1985-86 as President. He has subsequently served, and is serving, on the board of directors of MCROA and MCRA.

Col Randolph Sinnott, USMCR(Ret)
Randy is the President and managing partner of Sinnott, Dito, Moura and Puebla Law Firm of Los Angeles, California. He has been very active in the Reserves and has had combat experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. For this service, he received the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Combat V and Purple Heart. Randy has been active in MCRA/MCROA for 25 or more years and was once President of MCROA.
